The Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right) is one of the most critical key items in Elden Ring, serving as the first step toward uncovering the game's highly challenging endgame zones. When combined with its left counterpart, this medallion allows players to operate the Grand Lift of Rold to access the Consecrated Snowfield and Miquella's Haligtree. Finding this specific half requires a journey into the shrouded areas of Liurnia of the Lakes and an interaction with a well-hidden NPC.

Journey to the Village of the Albinaurics

To begin your search for the right half of the medallion, you must travel to the southwestern region of Liurnia of the Lakes. The destination is tucked away underneath the massive towering cliffs rather than on top of the plateau itself. Players should ride along the swampy lake shore from the south until they locate a dark, cavernous path leading upward into a dimly lit settlement.

As you enter this eerie village, navigating through the gloom can be difficult without a personal lantern or torch. Progression through the area reveals a nearby Site of Grace located inside a small ruined shack, which serves as an essential checkpoint. From this landmark, players will need to prepare for minor enemy encounters as they move further up the slope toward the cliffside.

Unveiling Albus and the Secret Disguise

Following the incline eastward from the Site of Grace will lead you past a hostile Perfumer enemy standing guard near a small stone sarcophagus. Once the threat is eliminated, players must scan the immediate area for a conspicuously isolated and out-of-place pottery jar. This object sticks out from the environment because it looks entirely different from the living jar creatures encountered elsewhere in the Lands Between.

Striking the mysterious jar with a simple melee attack or rolling into it will break the illusion and reveal an old NPC named Albus. He has been hiding from the disaster that befell his village and holds the item necessary to progress toward the Haligtree. Exhausting his dialogue will prompt him to entrust you with the precious relic before he passes away.

Activating the Grand Lift of Rold

Securing the right half triggers unique world events, including an immediate hostile invasion back at the safety of the Roundtable Hold. However, the ultimate purpose of this key item is unlocked much later in the story after exploring the Mountaintops of the Giants. Once you possess both halves, you must return to the bottom area of the Grand Lift of Rold to activate the hidden path.

Standing before the grand lift will normally show the standard option to hoist the regular medallion given to you after defeating Morgott. By pressing left or right on your directional pad, you can toggle the action to hoist the secret version instead. This alternative command descends the lift into a hidden transit route, opening the fog-covered gateway to the Consecrated Snowfield.
